How much can you afford to start remodeling? Usually, people think more about design than act to redesign. So decide if you seriously want to have the new view from the window. If you answered YES, then calculate your budget for the landscape beauty and go on with choosing the landscaper. If you still say YES, but have the smaller budget and you want to try yourself, than Google, Google and one more time Google for the ideas and plans. If you answered NO that means you are just thinking about the new design, but not planning to do something than relax and just buy several magazines.
Lots of people start by buying a bunch of plants, and planting them. This is a fatal mistake! You shouldn’t plant anything until you’ve made a plan for your yard. You should have every detail covered, and it might not hurt to seek the advice of a professional designer for this. Make your yard look intentional and not haphazard.
Make sure you have the right door size. Others make the common mistake of building too small doors that prevent bigger tools and equipment from being stored inside.
Decide what you want to do with the open space. There are many things you can do with open spaces rather than the traditional lawn. For smaller spaces, you may want to convert them into more useful spaces such as including a small pool or Jacuzzi, having a gazebo, or using more ornamental plants.
Soil conditions. As it is with lighting, landscape design that will work will depend a whole lot on the type of soil present. Sandy soil, for example, is ideal for growing certain plants, but not others. Choosing plants to match the available soil can be very important for creating a design that will last, or at least has the opportunity to do so.
Growing Liriope plants is moderately easy. The Muscari is generally used along pavement and walkways, or even along foundations of houses. This beautiful plant grows in clumps anywhere from 12 to 18 inches in diameter.
Offer free landscape design company assessment. Don’t people just love free goodies and anything free that can be valuable to them. Leverage on this by offering free assessment to your prospective clients. Tell them that you can assess their front or backyards for free and that they are not obliged to go on with the transaction if they don’t feel like it. You can use postcards or fliers for these. You can send out copies of your interesting and enticing prints.
No matter how rich you are, you need to know what you want. You don’t need to know the details, especially if another person will design it for u. But it’s better to imagine before starting the plan.Go out from your house and feel how much space do you have. Do you want more space? Do you want less? These simple questions will lead to the answer that will make your luxury landscape design wide and large or comfortable and small place for reading.
Stone or rock features are another avenue to explore. These usually accompany a sand or water feature, or perhaps a statue. That is, after all, technically stone, and can have a wonderfully elegant and tasteful effect.
To add some fun and flair to the landscaping I place tiki torches around the deck area in the summer and solar ground lights in the path to the fire pit. It adds a bit of metal into the landscape design breaking up the green around us. It has grown on my husband as the summer’s progress and he has even taken to a bit of landscaping on his own with the installation of a boat ramp that blends naturally into the river. That is truly is only contribution as I still find myself mowing and weeding the yard every weekend as he tends a fire and jumps in the boat for some river time.
